To place your order for out-of town bridesmaids dresses:
1 – Each bridesmaid should fill out a Bridesmaid's Order Form (download form available below.) They will need to fill out the form in full (we do not accept incomplete forms), sign it, e-mail it or mail it to Majesty. The Bridesmaid's Order Form serves as a contract between us and each individual bridesmaid, so we do need a hard copy with a signature. We cannot accept orders over the phone. Please note that on the form we ask each bridesmaid to choose her own size based on comparing her measurements to the designer's size chart. We'll be happy to answer any questions, but the final decision is always made by the bridesmaid.
2 - After we've received a completed Bridesmaid Order Form for all the bridesmaids in the wedding party, the bride will sign a final contract. This contract lists each girl's size and color and the approximate delivery date for the dresses. The bride should review this contract thoroughly, sign and e-mail it back to Majesty.
Full Payment for each dress is due at time of placing the order.
-Do you carry bridesmaid's dresses?
Yes! Our store has a wide selection of bridesmaid's dresses. Our designers are Bill Levkoff, Allure Bridesmaids, Sorella Vita and Belsoie
-If my bridesmaids live out of town, can I still order their dress through your store?
Yes, you can! We offer Order Forms for out of town bridesmaids. They simply fill out their information and e-mail or mail it back to us. It is that simple!
- How is the size determined for my bridesmaids?
Just like Bridal, we have measurement cards for each designer that we carry. We will take her bust, waist, and hips measurements and determine where she falls on the size chart. Gowns are made according to the size chart, not custom to her measurements. If she lives out of town we recommend that she have her measurements taken by the professional seamstress or alterations person who will alter her gown. Measurements should be taken under street clothes (clothing adds extra inches). Keep in mind that size runs differently than regular clothes, you will probably not order your normal size, Also, extra size charges apply to certain sizes, and if you are over 5'9" you may have to order extra length.
-How do I begin selecting bridesmaids dresses?
When choosing a bridesmaids gown, take into consideration the height, body shape, skin coloring and personality of your maids. Also, keep in mind the time and style of your wedding. While bridesmaids gowns are important, keep the focus on the bride.
Once you have chosen your bridesmaids, consider their style and color preferences as well as their figure types. A-line styles are flattering on most body shapes, because the uninterrupted waist and long vertical seams are slimming.
- How do I choose a color for my bridesmaids' dresses?
Choose a color that will compliment your bridal gown, and flatter your bridesmaids. Colors range in intensity from soft pastels such as pale pink, to deep muted colors like rose or champagne, to bright vibrant shades such as claret or ruby red. There are also many different fabrics to choose from the most popular choices are taffeta, satin, and georgette. Take into consideration time of year and location. What color is the carpet or walls? Will the color you are considering clash? These are just some general things to consider.
-When should I order my bridesmaids dresses?
Order your bridesmaids gowns 5-6 months in advance of the wedding.
-How long will it take for my bridesmaids dresses to be delivered?
Most bridesmaids gowns take anywhere from 3-6 months to come in depending on the manufacturer. We can get some dresses in as quickly as 8 weeks with a rush fee.
-Do bridesmaids really have to spend a lot on a dress they may only wear once?
The great news for bridesmaids is that the trend in bridesmaids has moved towards versatile gowns that can be worn again for any special occasion. Many designers offer simple clean lines, classic looks that are not as dated as the bridesmaids gowns of the past. The hottest trends in Bridesmaids include Tea-Length gowns or allowing your maids to choose from a selection of your favorite gowns. This way you get the color and gown you want, and they get the shape of gown that they feel the most flattered and comfortable in. You should definitely listen to your bridesmaids, but at the same time don't lose sight of your overall picture.
Guidelines and Tips
* To accurately take measurements for a bridesmaid dress, use a cloth measuring tape. Cloth (or soft plastic) yields to the body’s curves, allowing for a measurement that’s more accurate. Start with the bust. You want to measure the fullest part of the bust, which right across the nipple. Then, do the waist, placing the tape about an inch above the belly button. The waist measurement should be where your waist is narrowest. Finally, measure the hips, at the widest part.
* After taking your measurements please refer to the size chart provided with your "Bridesmaid Order Form" to determine the size. Please note that it is common to be between sizes. We suggest ordering according to the largest measurement. It is easier to take in the size than to add fabric to a dress
